Barter and Cash (June Barter and Ronny Cash) provide a full, big country band sound, at a much lower price.
Past Performances
Barter and Cash (formerly the Deputies) performed in and around Calgary since the early 80’s. They were featured on the national TV program on CBC called Chinook Country. They have performed in the Stampede Corral, Roundup Centre, Kananaskis Lodge, Chateau Lake Louise, Telus Convention Centre and many other venues. They were the house band at the Calgary Stampede Nashville North in 1995, the Silver Slipper Saloon in 1998, and the 5 Star Saloon in 2006 and have performed for such companies as CP Rail, Alberta Securities, Alberta Glass, Pattison Stampede party and many other private parties, public functions and company events. Their alter ego Haggard & Worn performed at the Calgary Stampede Grandstand Show in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
Barter and Cash has performed for numerous corporate functions, house parties and weddings including Willow Park Wines and Spirits, Greengate Garden Centre, Strathmore Legion New Year’s Party, Square Butte Ranches and the Nanton Show ‘n’ Shine.
An Entertaining Band
Their emphasis is on making sure everyone has fun. They are very entertaining and interactive with the crowd. They play 9 instruments between them including synthesizer, banjo, guitar, bass, percussion, sax, flute, harmonica and steel guitar! Barter and Cash also use a synthesized drummer guitar looper and digital harmonizers for a full band sound. They are a country party duo (male, female) with a BIG emphasis on PARTY! They play only the best in country music; from the ’50s (Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, and Buck Owens) to great music from today’s biggest stars (from Mumford and Sons to Brooks & Dunn to Dwight Yoakam to Bon Jovi) and everything in between. They even throw in a bit of rock n roll just for fun; songs like Pretty Woman, Unchained Melody and Tequila!
